Bringing back the joy of creating
I’ve noticed these tend to be the most popular side quests people go on. As we get older I guess we find less opportunities to let our creative side shine so finding more opportunities to be creative ends up being extremely refreshing. Go on a creative side quest, your younger self will thank you :)
Tips for picking a creative hobby as your side quest
- Think about all the art assignments and fun creative projects you had to do when you were younger- what types of art did you enjoy creating or do you miss the most?
- Create something to capture a memory/moment or express a part of who you are
- Choose something that feels relaxing yet energizing to do
Reminders when going on your creative side quest
- Things don’t need to be perfect. Remember, side quests are about learning how to have fun again- just create what makes you happy :)
- Inspiration can come from anywhere- personally, I like exploring how different mediums can be combined or how things I’ve learned from other areas of life can translate into the creative hobbies I pursue.

Art Projects
- A photo collage of a recent vacation or to recap the year so far
- A series of wall posters for your bedroom
- Recreate your favourite painting
- Make a resin keychain
- Try out clay hand building or pottery
